Boxing is Alive and Well

Capt

Mark Twain famously said, "the reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated." The same could easily be said of boxing.

Yesterday WKR did our best day of traffic ever. It was a ten fold increase on normal traffic. Why the explosion of hits? It was due to our Fight Hangover for Pacquiao vs. Hatton. Of course this was boxing's biggest fight of the year so it would make sense that more people are interested in the aftermath. But still, to so thoroughly defeat are previous traffic record should give notice to MMA fans just how far our sport needs to grow in order to become accepted by the mainstream.

Now there is an alternative explanation. That WKR is now on google news thanks to our reporting at Bellator V so what we wrote on Pacquiao-Hatton was placed in a more prominent position then normal. Still a 100% increase in traffic due to a boxing post definitely means that the 'sweet science' is alive and well.
