Amir Sadollah: future sideline reporter?

I am still getting used to Amir Sadollah's role on Inside the Octagon.
The show has been a nice little break from the repetitiveness of TUF and sometimes it actually provides information.
For instance in this week's episode we learned that Wanderlei Silva will be fighting at both middleweight and light heavyweight. Also that Wanderlei wants to fight that other Silva named Anderson.
I like Amir and think he is a great figure for the UFC; he's funny, personable and smart. At the same time I am a little weirded out by the fact that Amir really hasn't done anything yet.
Should Spike be relying on someone to do reporting who could be one of the biggest TUF busts? After all Sadollah will not even be fighting at middleweight anymore and we know how deep the welterweight division is. Will the UFC demonstrate enough patience for a chronically injured fighter, who was an amateur when he entered TUF, to develop?
Maybe, but then again they have been cutting fighters left and right now so Sadollah's leash may be short. Or it could be that Sadollah is being groomed to be a future reporter a la Kenny Florian.
At least we will finally get to see Sadollah fight in the Octagon this August. Still it will be Amir's first fight since winning the seventh season of TUF over a year ago. But if Sadollah doesn't have success in the cage he could end up as a Matt Millen media figure.
Good analyst, shitty sports guy.
