A battle of the Silvas, does the UFC want Anderson vs. Wanderlei?
If you were watching UFC 99 Countdown last night you may have been confused by all the talk about Anderosn Silva.
True Anderson and Wanderlei seem to be having a falling out and now Anderson is helping to train Rich Franklin but does this potential feud (which feels like a WWE script) really elevate Wanderlei to the position of contender? Is Wanderlei even on Anderson's radar as an opponennt?
Dana White seems to think so, saying, "we could see a Wanderlei Silva-Anderson Silva fight in the very near future."
Michael Rome brings this point to its natural conclusion,
This suggests to me that if Wanderlei knocks Rich out this weekend, they are willing to leapfrog him over Maia and Bisping and into title contention. They are in a bit of a bind this fall without main events to fill shows, and they may pull the trigger on this one sooner rather than later if they have the opportunity.
I think we now know who Dana White will be rooting for and it looks like Rich Franklin is no longer the golden boy.

There is a chance...
There is a chance that Anderson Silva loses to Forrest Griffin as well. I think this fight happens if Anderson loses, regardless of the outcome of Franklin/Silva.
The Middleweight division is getting awful cloudy and adding Wandi to the mix could just make it more confusing.
That being said, both he and Anderson Silva need to focus on winning their next fights before thinking about each other.
