Michael David Smith defends his assertion that Cain Velasquez is a future champion by looking at the CompuStrike and Fight Metric numbers.

The only problem with this analysis is that it ignores Knogo's wrestling skills.

If Heath Herring can grind out a victory over Kongo with average wrestling (Herring lost to Jake O'Brien) then why wouldn't we assume that Velasquez, a two time All-American, would be able to control the fight and win with lopsided statistics.
