Gina Carano and Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos get all the attention when it comes to female Mixed Martial Artists, but Keyboard Kimura would like to introduce you to Sarah Kaufman, 9-0 in her professional career and climbing the rankings.
The Victoria, B.C. product looks to make it 10-0 on Friday on the Strikeforce: ShoMMA card against submission specialist and Josh Barnett trainee Shayna Baszler.

Canuck is not offensive. Except to people who suffer from Canuckism.

Canuck is not offensive and it was a surprise to me that Kaufman is Canadian! I only found that out this AM when I started putting the piece together.
Overall, I just think that too few women get noticed or written about in MMA because everyone focuses on the Pretty Girl (Carano) and the one with the unique name (Cyborg), when there are a lot of other women out there whoopin’ ass.
That being said, I’ll always take the Canadian in a coin flip fight like this one…

I actually train at the same gym as Sarah in Victoria. She’s fucking awesome in every way, as a person and a fighter. If anyone wants someone to cheer for in MMA that you can be sure is in the game for all the right reasons, look no further.
Also, I predict that she schools Baszler.

Well you now have the responsibility of telling her about the piece and letting her know that I’m cheering for her Friday night…
Make it happen, Cap’n!

i know man, just giving you a hard time. I also know Canuck is not offensive, I said it sarcastically/joking. It is the same as Yankee.
good looking out though
