Bellator's season finale this weekend

This Friday the inaugural season of Bellator Fighting Championship will come to an end. The fledgling organization held twelve events this year across the United States. Bellator's tournament concept gave us several upsets and memorable finishes, most notably an inverted triangle.
Bellator also built significant credibility within the MMA community by posting highlights online. Since the events were being shown via tape delay on ESPN Deportes, the online highlight packages were the only way many MMA fans could witness the tournament.

Fledgling?
I think they did a great job and put themselves on the map this past few months… fledgling is Affliction and their one show every six months or the state EliteXC was in before they went south…

well I think the adjective is fair after going to one of their events this year. It was held at a 6,000 person stadium and drew maybe 2,000-3,000. Affliction is on PPV and is bringing in 10,000+ so….

Honestly, I think they’re apples and oranges.
Affliction has major money behind them, draws fairly well, is on PPV as you said, but manages one show every six months. Bellator, on the other hand, is rocking the ESPN Deportes are YouTube sensations and draw next to no one.
Personally, I’d take the small organization putting on exciting fights that deliver highlight reel moments every week than the colossus that shows up twice a year.

between the spinning backfists, flying knees, inverted triangles…what is not to love about Bellator?! they’ve made damn entertaining fights with not so much as the talent of UFC or WEC level guys (ok, Lombard I think could hang in the UFC)
Gatti. Dekkers. Pele. Aoki. Kang. Vanderlei.
