Roger Huerta sighting! Huerta to fight Gray Maynard at TUFN 19
Ladies and Gentlemen we have a Roger Huerta sighting.
According to Loretta Hunt of Sherdog, Roger Huerta (20-2-1) will fight Gray Maynard (7-0) at the The Ultimate Fight Night 19 in Oklahoma City on September 19th.
Roger Huerta burst onto the UFC scene with a six fight win streak and was being groomed for a top spot within the organization. Then Huerta got a taste for the movie business and decided that fighting with no standardized pay, insurance or benefits was not his thing. Huerta hasn't fought since August of 2008 where he lost to Kenny Florian and has only one fight left on his UFC contract.
Huerta will be facing Gray Maynard. Maynard is an alum of the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter and is currently riding a five-fight win streak. Maynard has appeared on many observer's short list for future lightweight contenders and if he wins this bout he will be one step closer to a title shot.
There will be a lot on the line for both fighters.
