In this episode of Cage Cast the writers of WatchKalibRun delve into the results of Ultimate Chaos: Lashley vs. Sapp.
The first topic is Affliction VP, Tom Atencio's, fight on the card. Atencio, who is forty-two years old, one the bout. WKR gets a little side tracked and begins talking about what this means or doesn't mean for the Dana White Tom Atencio feud.
From there it is on to Gilbert Yvel vs. Pedro Rizzo. Yvel beat Rizzo but kept pummeling his defeated opponent after he was knocked out. The Mississippi referee failed to stop the onslaught. The consensus is that the state of Mississippi needs a real athletic commission.
Finally we talk about Sapp and Lashley. Guess what, Bob Sapp acts like Bob Sapp and Bobby Lashley proves he is a top prospect.
Lashley's victory and similar bio start up a conversation about the comparisons between Lashley and Borck Lesnar and whether or not the UFC should sign Bobby.
Zak thinks that the UFC should sign Lashley and is afraid that MMA detractors will cite this as an example of a racial double standard. On the other hand Spencer thinks that Lashley is staying in the minor leagues on his own accord and is slowly building up his stock.
Next we talk about the possibility of new weight classes. Neither of us think it is a good idea but we do think if it were to happen splitting the 170 division into a 165 and 175 division would make the most sense.
Finally we talk about the UFC's Hall of Fame and how it is really an outstanding employee award. Spencer thinks that MMA writers need to get together and form our own Hall of Fame similar to baseball, football and hockey.
That's it for this week.
