Allow Me to Introduce Myself

" Gather round, I'm the new fool in town."
- Humpty Hump, Digital Underground

Things are about to get a little more Canadian here at Watch Kalib Run.

My name is E. Spencer Kyte and like the namesake of this blog, Kalib Starnes, I'm a proud Canuck. Unlike Kalib, I don't run from anything; I meet my challenges head on and starting today, I'll be a regular contributor here on WKR. Being the new guy, I thought it only right to give you a little history lesson on who I am and what to expect of me now that I've joined the team.

Star-divide

Like many of you, my interest in Mixed Martial Arts began during the UFC's infancy as a No Holds Barred battleground. Watching Royce Gracie submit opponent after opponent in the opening two tournaments had me hooked and I've been follow the sport ever since.

I started writing about MMA almost a year ago, begin with some work at The Love of Sports before recently starting my own blog, Keyboard Kimura. I know - great name, right?

In addition to continuing with my daily chores at my own site, I'll be swinging in here routinely to spread my views and opinions on everything from the fight to sanction MMA in Ontario to how much I dislike listening to people play the "What If?" game with Mike Brown's win over Urijah Faber last night. Brown won, accept it already.

There is nothing I like more than a good MMA debate, so be sure to pepper my posts with comments, complaints and questions. More often than not, I'll get back to you faster than Jose Aldo put Cub Swanson to sleep. Okay, maybe not that fast, but you'll hear from me.

Big thanks to Zak Woods for the invitation to be a part of things here at WKR.

Thanks Kelvin – we’ll have to get together on some cross-site grudge match type ish once in a while!
