UFC 100 Medical suspensions: Georges St. Pierre out till 2010?

UFC 100 medical suspensions are now official. One injury of particular interest is Georges St. Pierre's groin injury. 

Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports commented on Pro MMA Radio that he believes St. Pierre will need surgery and will be out for some time.

Currently St. Pierre is suspended until January unless cleared by a orthopedic doctor. Even if cleared he will still be suspended until August 11th. 

A serious injury to the current champion will allow the UFC welterweight divisional picture to further solidify as there is no clear number one contender (many believe that the winner of Martin Kampmann Mike Swick at UFC 103 would be the next challenger. 

St. Pierre also commented that he did not have proper time to warm up as the UFC skipped the Jon Fitch Paulo Thiago fight.

• Frank Mir - Suspended until September 10 with no contact until August 26.
• Georges St-Pierre - Groin injury must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor or suspended until January 8. Minimum suspension until August 11 with no contact until August 2.
• Thiago Alves - Suspended until August 11 with no contact until August 2.
• Michael Bisping - Suspended until September 10 with no contact until Aug. 26 for precautionary reasons
• Yoshihiro Akiyama - Left orbital fractured must be cleared by an ophthalmologist or suspended until January 8. Minimum suspension until September 10 with no contact until August 26.
• Stephan Bonnar - Suspended until August 11 with no contact until August 2.
• Mac Danzig - Suspended until September 10 with no contact until August 26 due to a head laceration.
• Jim Miller - Right shoulder and clavicle must be x-rayed and cleared by a doctor or suspended until January 8.
• Jake O'Brien - Suspended until August 11 with no contact until August 2.
• T.J. Grant - Suspended until August 2 with no contact until July 26.
• C.B. Dollaway - Suspended until August 11 with no contact until August 2.
• Matt Grice - Suspended until September 10 with no contact until August 26.
• Shannon Gugerty - Lower back pain must be cleared by a doctor or suspended until January 8.
