Matt Hamill injured, pulls out of UFC 102 fight with Brandon Vera
Matt Hamill has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 102 bout with Brandon Vera due to an injury.
Sherdog first reported that Hamill suffered a knee injury. MMA Junkie has expanded upon that initial report stating that Hamill suffered a meniscus tear and will be out 3-4 weeks.
Former TUF season eight contestant, Krzysztof Soszynski, has stepped in to replace the injured Hamill. Soszynski is riding a three fight win streak in the UFC and will be facing his stiffest competition to date in Brandon Vera.
Vera is 2-1 in the UFC since dropping to light heavyweight but the former heavyweight standout has been far from impressive.
