Cage Cast 17: Mark Twain edition
Cage Cast is back after a short hiatus due to some technical difficulties.
As always you can listen to the streaming version here and you can subscribe to our RSS feed here and don't forget to check us out on iTunes.
Luckily for us we picked a perfect time to return as the big/mega/apocalyptic news happened this morning. That's right we spend the first forty minutes talking about Josh Barnett's "positive test" and his inability to fight on Affliction's upcoming card.
First WKR talks about who could be a possible fill in for Barnett and if the current front-runner, Vitor Belfort, is a smart choice. Inevitably we begin discussing Fedor's recent career and if this will help a possible UFC deal.
Of course such monumental news inevitably starts a discussion about whether or not Affliction can survive. Neither Zak nor Spencer think there is much hope.
Finally we talk about yesterday's erroneous report about the demise of Kimo Leopoldo. WKR talks about how such a false story can spread through the web and the bright spots of journalistic integrity we saw yesterday. WKR did pass along two links, one to the initial story and one to a tribute of Kimo's contributions to MMA. This started an interesting discussion of whether posting a bad link is equal to posting an inaccurate story. Still WKR screwed up just by posting the links.
