Fedor Conference Call Live Blog
- Fedor confirmed that he is in negotiations with the UFC so that part of the L.A. Times report is accurate.
- Also Fedor will headline Electronic Arts upcoming title EA MMA 2010. This will be a test of the reported UFC ban on fighters involved with EA.
- Two other fighters were announced for the game. Gegard Mousasi and Renato "Babalu" Sobral.
- Micahel David Smith thinks he has the call pegged,
They have confirmed Fedor is negotiating with the UFC, but they clearly want to make this call about the EA MMA game, not the UFC
- M-1 offered the UFC a co-promotion fight featuring Fedor.
- Strikeforce has their hat in the Fedor sweepstakes.
- Here's another tweet from Micahel David Smith
M-1 stresses that to do a deal with UFC, they want co-promotion. They think it's important for MMA to have competition, not UFC dominance.
Yeah, Fedor in the UFC is not going to happen unless the UFC finds a creative solution around this. WKR votes for "sponsorship."
- Josh Gross asked, "Why does Fedor feel he should receive something different than others that are the best in the world?"
Jerry Millen responds, "Fedor is the best fighter in MMA, deserves to be treated as such. Suggests UFC wouldn't treat him as such."
- M-1 wants to increase the number of shows they promote. Could this just be posturing for the negotiations?
- Fedor responds to Aleksander's (his brother) criticism to M-1's management.
- "The UFC will not be able to control the whole world" ~Fedor (quote provided by Yael Grauer)
- The call ends with Fedor saying he has complete trust in his management.

Im sure if there was an exception to the rule...
it would be Fedor.
...some call me "el mexicutioner"...
I’d like to see Fedor come into the UFC. But not if M-1 Global had to come with. The UFC has done a fine job and doesn’t need to bribe the hell out of a bunch of gangsters just to get one fighter. I’ll pass. Let Fedor beat up cartoons for the rest of his career, then he can collect Vadim’s debts in his retirement.
