IGN breaks down UFC 2009 Undisputed compared to Fight Night Round 4.

Unfortunately for UFC fans EA's Fight Night franchise comes out on top. Probably has to do with the fact that it is an older franchise but considering that EA is throwing their hats into the MMA ring this could be interesting.

IGN gave Undisputed one of it’s worst reviews. They seemed very down on it at the time compared to other sites/magazines. I like the Fight Night games though. It’s really an excellent sim. The only game I could compare it to in terms of realism is FIFA 09, but then I only really play sports games

IGN's UFC review was crap.

I loved FNR3 and went back to it after 3 weeks of FNR4. I can’t get past the cartoon-like graphics and the feel of the punches not being very substantial. UFC is by no means a perfect game, but if you look for the good- you get the good. If you nitpick – you get the bad. The depth of the ground game in UFC is what makes it great and the IGN review didn’t understand any of it.
