Nate Diaz vs. Melvin Guillard set for The Ultimate Fight Night 19
Today the UFC officially announced the main event of The Ultimate Fight Night 19. Lightweights, and former TUF contestants, Melvin Guillard and Nate Diaz will battle it out as the lead in for the debut of the The Ultimate Fighter 10 on September 19th in Oklahoma City.
Joining Guillard and Diaz will be a lightweight fight between Roger Huerta and Gray Maynard. Huerta has only one fight left on his UFC contract and this could be his last fight in the promotion.
Also being reported are potential fights between UFC middleweights Nate Quarry and Tim Credeur as well as another lightweight bout between Kyle Bradley and Sam Stout.

How is Maynard vs. Huerta not the Main Event? Why does Nick Diaz headline against Guillard when he’s coming off two losses and Guillard is just, well, Melvin Guillard?

Gray Maynard is like the Yushin Okami of the lightweight division. First, he gets passed over for a title shot in favor of Diego Sanchez. Then he can’t even headline over the epic “coke vs. pot” fight. Wow.
