Nick Diaz really needs to show up for his drug test
The Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg card is flirting with the title of all-time cursed card as Nick Diaz failed to show up at his pre-fight drug screening last Friday.
Apparently Daiz's absence at the drug test was due to a simple mix up. Diaz had re-scheduled the test for Monday just to make sure the weed is out of his system and all is well, though the CSAC says that never happened.
That makes today the day of truth for Diaz and Strikeforce's upcoming welterweight title bout as FiveOuncesofPain describes,
So where's Diaz? Good question. For the sake of the bout with with Jay Hieron, he absolutely must get down to the CSAC headquarters TODAY.
"[The test] has to be in the lab today by 5 pm to get the processing started because usually we're looking at about a 72 hour process time, and then the extra day for results," explained Douglas. "So if they get it in today there's a chance it could be finished on Thursday, and we'll have a report in our hands by Friday. Doing the test tomorrow is not going to do any good because the lab won't process anything during the weekend and we wouldn't have anything in our hands to license the bout until Monday. It has to be in by 5 pm today"
Douglas further confirmed with FiveOuncesOfPain.com that the CSAC has been actively trying to reach representatives from both the Diaz camp and Strikeforce over the weekend without success.
Diaz has not showed up at the CSAC this morning during the agreed time frame, and the upcoming Diaz vs. Hieron bout appears to be in severe jeopardy.
Paging Nick Diaz, Paging Nick Diaz!
Maybe he has just decided that he shouldn't go agaisnt the cosimc energy which is clearly against the Strikeforce card as figther's have been dropping like flies.

TUF 7 alum, Jesse Taylor, is on deck in case Diaz can't fight.

OK! This cracked me up! I literally have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard.
Leave it to Nick Diaz to find new ways to screw up.
I am not going to lie
I love Nick Diaz, he always gives me something to write about

I’d like to believe I’m wrong, but i’m pretty sure the collapse of Strikeforce is just a matter of when.
let’s wait and see what the new salaries are and what the UFC does
but if it is going to be an actual war I think it is safe to pick Zuffa as the triumphant empire and Strikeforce as the conquered carthaginians.

hmmm, you got all “Age Of Empires” on me there, i want to comment but i’m still trying to remember what a Carthaginian is…… Dammit…..
I’m actually surprised that there is no counter programming. I was expecting UFC 100 to be aired on Spike this Saturday. If I were Zuffa, that would be by plan.
I would also come up with a live show counter for Fedor’s Showtime debut…and I would have GSP headline that card, in his debut at 185 against a decent middleweight. Advertise it as the real #1 pound for pound fighter on free TV, ephasis on “#1 pound for pound” and “free.”
I think if they are going to coutner promote it will be in October. White floated another event in that month and I think that is when Strikeforce is targeting for Fedor
