Around SBN: Fighters React to Nick Diaz's Positive Drug Test

Jesse Taylor to the Rescue!

"I can't believe I am a hero"

Its now official, Nick Diaz is off the Strikeforce fight card and Jesse Taylor will take his place.

Diaz was suppose to fight former Affliction fighter, Jay Hieron, at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg but Diaz failed to show up to a pre-fight drug test, twice! Once on Friday and again today. Diaz and Hieron were suppose to fight for the inaugural Strikeforce welterweight title.

Hieron was actually replacing Joe Riggs who couldn't fight due to an illness. Now former TUF 7 alum and UFC cast off, for bad behavior, Jesse Taylor, will take Diaz's place. The fight will be a three round non-title bout.

Nick Diaz is a known cannabis user and bragged about his ability to pass drug tests. Still doesn't explain why he missed two scheduled drug tests unless he really didn't want to fight.

Also, it was announced by Las Vegas police that a voodoo doll with marijuana stuffed in it was found in the office buildings of Zuffa. No word on who hexed Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg.

Well, he shouldn’t have to worry since Bicardi 151 isn’t classified by the CSAC as a performance enhancing substance. Now, if he avoid getting arrested for five days, we’ll actually have an uninteresting fight.

Well, all that’s left now is for the UFC to be granted an injunction on Mousasi vs Babalu and Carano or Cyborg or both to miss weight.
