Tim Sylvia to fight Jason Riley

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Tim Sylvia (24-6), will fight NAAFS heavyweight champion Jason Riley (6-1) at an upcoming MMA Adrenaline bout.

Sylvia is coming off an embarrassing knockout loss to Ray Mercer. For those not born in 1975 Ray Mercer is a former Olympic boxer and WBO heavyweight champion. Mercer was 48 and collecting social security when he knocked out Sylvia.

That loss appeared to completely destroyed whatever semblance of a legacy Tim Sylvia had at the time. Now the long rebuilding process begins. Unfortunately for Sylvia he is fighting Jason Riley.

Riley is a local Ohio product who recently won the NAAFS heavyweight title at Caged Vengeance 4 via devastating knockout. The fact that Riley posses heavy hands should give "The Maine-iac" serious pause as he has been knocked down in his past two fights during a combined total time of forty-five seconds.

Jason Riley recently tried out for the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter.
