- Chris Lylte is withdrawing from his fight against Carlos Condit at the Ultimate Fight Night 19 due to a knee injury.
- Ed Herman vs. Aaron Simpson was moved back to UFC 102. Herman is an Oregon native and this is the UFC's first event in Portland.
- Tamdan McCroy was released by the UFC following his loss at UFC 101.
- Marcus Aurelio will be making his return to the UFC as a late substitute for Matt Veach at UFC 102. Aurelio will fight Evan Dunham.
- Ed Soares calls BS on Wetzel's earlier report, "That is totally false; I never said that to Dana," Soares told ESPN.com. "I never had my arm around Dana saying something like that, [not] whatsoever."
- Dennis Hallman is re-signing with the UFC for the fourth time.
- Brad Blackburn signed a four-fight extension with the UFC.

Now that Superman is back, the UFC should really do Hughes/Hallman 3. I mean with Hallman’s two submission victories over Hughes (1 in 17 seconds, the other in 20 seconds) before he was champ, this fight sells itself.
Depends on Hallman’s weight class, though, since he’s fought from lightweight to middleweight before.

im pretty shocked at the mccrory release. completely undeserved. he fought very well and was a big crowd favorite. its right up there with the jason macdonald and gurgel release.
why the eff hasn’t a non fighter like leitas get his release?
