Vancouver bars ban "gang brands" including Affliction and Xtreme Couture
Apparently WKR has become your news source for all thing gangs and Vancouver related.
A reader passed a long this tip from Canada.com,
Downtown bars are turning people away because they're wearing brands of clothing that are being identified as gangster-wear.
The crackdown on couture began about three weeks ago, according to Vancouver club-hoppers and clothing-store owners.
That's about the time several gang-related shootings occurred in Metro Vancouver.
........
Blacklisted brands include his favourite labels like Ed Hardy, Affliction and Xtreme Couture, he said. All of these use trendy motifs like tattoos, skulls and chains.
WKR has never been a big fan of Affliction clothes on a stylistic level but it is kind of scary that these item are becoming associated with gang culture in Canada.
WKR already detailed how ttotally wrong we were for laughing about this matter but after many Canadian readers, contributors and friends told us, apparently there is a pretty big gang problem up north and part of that culture is attached to MMA.

WKR can't read dates (its been one of those mornings and you will find out if you listen to the upcoming episode of Cage Cast). The Canada.com article is from 2007.

Canadian gang problem
= three guys with banana seats.
If you see Mark Coleman in person, drop $5 on the floor and watch the fun as he tries in vain to bend down and pick it up.
