Matt Lindland headed to Strikeforce
MMA Weekly is reporting that Matt Lindland has signed with Strikeforce.
Lindland did have a contract with Affliction, which folded earlier this August, but Lindland's contract did not transfer with the UFC. Lindland and Zuffa leadership have been at odds since 2005 when Matt was cut from the UFC for wearing a non-approved t-shirt.
Lindland is 9-3 since 2005 with losses to Quinton Jackson, Fedor Emelianenko and Vitor Belfort.
Matt also ran for a seat as a State Representative in Oregon. Lindland ran as a Republican and lost the election.
Possible opponents for Lindland, Jake Shields, Robbie Lawler and Cung Le (if he ever gets done with his movie stuff).

This is great news. Now there will be 3 Strikeforce fights that I can take a bathroom break during and not miss any action.
