Cole Province test positive for steroids at WEC 42
According to MMA Fanhouse WEC featherweight, Cole Province, tested positive for Methasterone following his WEC 42 unanimous decision victory over Fredson Paixao.
Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer told FanHouse on Monday that there is a possibility that Province's win may be changed to a no decision. Whether or not a fine and suspension will be issued, will be determined after Province responds to a complaint to be sent out by the commission this week.
Methasterone is a designer anabolic steroid and was brought to market as the primary ingredient in the supplement called Superdrol. Methasterone is similar to drostanolone. It is no longer produced in the U.S. but is available in over the counter dietary supplements.

MMA Weekly is reporting that Province has admited to the positive test due to taking an over-the-counter supplement.
The supplement that both Province and his manager admit to him taking is Double Dragon Pharmaceuticals SOS 500. According to a product description on SupplementCentral.com, "SOS 500 is the anabolic supplement you're looking for! It's unique blend of muscle building ingredients makes for an incredible, legal pro-hormone. You'll notice gains in strength, mass, and power that you never knew were possible. SOS 500 gives you all the energy and endurance you need for a great workout and then some."
WKR would like to help all fighters out with this little bit of adivce. If a supplement says anabolic or androgenic DO NOT TAKE IT!
Leland Roling believes the responsibility for tainted supplements rests solely with the fighter.
