Antonio Rogerio Nogueira to join the UFC

 It's like the movie Twins

It's like the movie Twins

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira's twin brother let the cat out of the bag during the UFC 102 conference call.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira said, "My brother is coming to the UFC. They're going to announce that."

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (17-3) was a Pride light heavyweight standout with wins over Dan Henderson, Alistair Overeem and Kazushi Sakuraba. Rogerio did lose to Sokoudjou and Mauricio Rua. Since Pride's demise Rogerio had been fighting for Affliction where he avenged an earlier loss to Vladimir Matyushenko. Rogerio Noguiera was not on Affliction's ill fated "Trilogy" card.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is expected to make his debut by the end of 2009.

Rogerio's signing with the UFC takes away a potential light heavyweight fighter from Strikeforce who is looking to expand their 205lbs. division.

Great signing. He’s a top ten 205er and he’d be a good challenge for most top contenders in the UFC. I want to see Shogun/Nog 2 at some point.

Would be a great fight. I just want to see more 205 fights it seems like the UFC only uses the top guys twice a year we should be able to get at least 3

It might be an interesting “comeback” fight for Forrest Griffin, too. Although, I’d pick Little Nog in that one, too.

I like this idea

would be an old Pride vs. UFC argument and I missed those

a true light heavy fight with franklin would be good

but frankin is tied up being dana an joe’s butt boy and fighting at catch weights.

im going to bet a zillion dollars he faces keith jardine after the jardines fight with silva.

jardine seems to get thrown in with everyone.
