Georges St. Pierre to make return in January 2010
MMA Fanhouse is reporting that Georges St. Pierre is "targeting" January 2010 to return to the Octagon.
St. Pierre will most likely fight the winner of the Martin Kampmann Mike Swick fight at UFC 103.
St. Pierre's target return date further illuminates the UFC's upcoming schedule.
Even with today's revelation that the UFC heavyweight title will be on the line at UFC 106 there are still three title defenses available for early 2010 (assuming the UFC doesn't use one to headline UFC 105, an English card that will air for free on Spike TV).
Let the speculation begin!

GSP will destroy Swick or Kampmann as good as they both are. There’s nothing left for him at 170. I really hope he moves to MW sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately, after seeing the beating that Silva put on a 220 lb Forrest Griffin, I think GSP will realize that discretion is the better part of valor. He didn’t seem to excited about the possibility of getting his ass handed to him fighting Anderson at UFC 100 and after seeing UFC 101, he would probably rather avoid 185 like the plague.
I agree
There is no reason for GSP to fight Silva. I’m not that big on the super fight thing anyway. There is still some fights at 170 for GSP right now.
