Jake Shields vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller for Strikeforce interim Middleweight Title
MMA Mania passes along a forum post from Jason "Mayhem" Miller,
"I'm set to take on Jake Shields for the middleweight championship of the world in Strikeforce."
MMA Mania is also reporting that this would be for an interim middleweight belt and the winner of Shields vs. Miller would take on current middleweight champion, Cung Le, in 2010. Earlier today MMA Fanhouse posted a video featuring Le, where the Strikeforce champ assured his fans that he will return to defend his belt.
Jake Shields (23-4-1) is the former EliteXC welterweight champion as well as a Cesar Gracie black belt. In Shields' previous and only fight with Strikeforce, he defeated former EliteXC middleweight champion, Robbie Lawler. Shields is currently ranked as the #4 welterweight according to USA Today/SBN Consensus Rankings.
Jason "Mayhem" Miller (22-6) has recently undergone a resurgence in popularity thanks to his MTV show Bully Beatdown. Miller is a former ICON middleweight champion as well as a WEC and UFC veteran. Recently Miller has fought for Dream in Japan, where he is 1-1 with one no contest.

Better fight than Jacare vs Miller. I’m picking Miller by decision. I think Jake is better suited at welterweight but he has more fights at 185.
