Todd Duffee may not have made history...
Cagepotato dug up an interesting gif showing that Todd Duffee didn't actually score the fastest KO in UFC history. In fact Duane Ludwig's knockout of Jonathan Goulet at UFC Fight Night 3 was the fastest UFC knockout. Well it would have if the scorekeeper hadn't messed up.
Ludwig's knockout victory is officially listed at eleven seconds. So Todd Duffee gets to keep the record.

Watch James Irvin over Houston Alexander. It was much faster as well. Should have been about 4 seconds.

Wow, I suck. Just watched it again and they were right at 8seconds. If you guys start a worst post of the week I could be your first winner (or loser depending on how you look at it).

This one’s common knowledge. The UFC have acknowledged this in the past. I remember Rogan or Goldberg once saying that it was a timekeeper’s error that lead to the 11 second official time.

sucks for ludwig though. its a very clear 4 seconds, how in the world do you get 11 seconds from that?

i think the extra 7 seconds are because he knocked out Goulet. It is a handicap of sort.
