Ross Pearson vs. Aaron Riley for UFC 105
MMA Weekly is reporting that Ross Pearson and Aaron Riley will fight at UFC 105.
Ross Pearson (9-3), a U.K. native, won the lightweight tournament on The Ultimate Fighter season nine. Aaron Riley (28-11-1) recently avenged a loss to Shane Nelson at UFC 101.
UFC 105 is set for November 14th in Manchester, England. While the UFC has yet to officially announce the fight card it is widely believed that it will be aired via tape delay on Spike as the UFC is holding a PPV event on the 21st.
Currently we know that UFC 105 is still without a main event though we do know that Michael Bisping and Denis Kang will be the co-main event. Looking over the rest of the reported fights it is fairly easy to deduce which fights will be on the televised card.
Unknown (possibly Penn vs. Sanchez): Main Event
Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang: Co-Main Event
Dan Hardy vs. Dong Hyun Kim: Televised
James Wilks vs. Matt Brown: Televised
Ross Pearson vs. Aaron Riley: Televised
DeMarques Johnson vs. Peter Sobotta: Preliminary
As UFC 105 is a U.K. product the UFC will definitely feature their two English TUF winners, James Wilks and Ross Pearson. Dan Hardy is one of, if not the British UFC fighter so there is no way that he won't be on the televised card and Bisping's fight is the co-main event. That leaves the only unknown bout as the main event.
