So much for Mir vs. Nogueira II...
After Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira defeated Randy Couture the former Pride and UFC champion endured a verbal smack-down courtesy of Frank Mir. Rodrigo reacted like any fighter would and demanded a rematch at UFC 107 this December. Unfortunately wishes rarely come true.
Frank Mir (12-4) will be fighting on the Memphis fight card but not against the Brazilian. Instead Mir will face off against French kick-boxer Cheick Kongo (14-5-1).
The bout was previously rumored to be occurring at UFC 107 but it was yet to be confirmed.
Kongo last fought at UFC 99 where he dropped an unanimous decision to Cain Velasquez. Mir is also coming off of a lost as Brock Lesnar defeated the former UFC champion via TKO at UFC 100.
UFC 107 is scheduled for December 12th in Memphis, Tennessee. The fight card will be headlined by a lightweight title bout between B.J. Penn and Diego Sanchez.

I wanna see Nog vs Mir 2, but what happenes to frank if he wins; moves on gets another title shot; loses then what, if he loses to Kongo, he is on the fast track to losing his J.O.B.
