Mayweather and Marquez were suppose to fight at 144lbs. but Floyd came in two pounds over the agreed upon weight. Fear not boxing fans as both parties had forseen this predicament and negotiated a penalty of $300,000 per pound overweight.

While 600,000 sounds like a lot of money Mayweather's minimum guarantee is $10 million where as Marquez will make $3.2 million guarantee.
