Sean Sherk out, Josh Neer in

I_cfc_medium

Sherdog breaks the news,

Josh Neer will replace an injured Sean Sherk in a lightweight bout against Gleison Tibau at UFC 104 on Oct. 24 in Los Angeles, according to a source close to the matchup.

Sherk, 36, suffered a shoulder injury in training that will keep him out of the gym for approximately four weeks, according to his manager Monte Cox.

I was really hoping for a CSAC Sean Sherk reunion. It would have been like High School Musical Reunion.

Im still curious about this, I mean Josh Barnett was randomly selected for testing and part of it was based on drug test failure in the past. Is it possible Sherk knows he’ll be tested and try and avoid it knowing how the Cali commission is?

Maybe, but it’s more likely that his rotator cuff has been a chronic injury of his.
