Confirmed: The WEC coming to Columbus

Good news for Ohio MMA fans.
MMA Junkie has confirmed that the WEC will indeed be coming to the Columbus, Ohio for the first weekend in March.
The first weekend of March coincides with the Arnold Sports Festival. The UFC held events in Columbus during the Sports Festival for the past three years but had announced that they would not be returning in 2010.
This would the first World Extreme Cagefighting event to occur in Ohio. The WEC had intended to hold WEC 43 in Youngstown, Ohio but the event was postponed and moved to San Antonio, Texas.
No word yet on what date the WEC fight card would be. Traditionally WEC events are held on Sunday though WEC 43 will be held on a Saturday.
