Is there any point to TUF 10?

Dana White's response to Quinton Jackson's internet retirement certainly lends legitimacy to Jackson's claim that he will walk away from the sport.
While the story of Quinton Jackson vs. Dana White is far from over there is one thing for sure, the sudden retirement destroys one of the principle designs of The Ultimate Fighter Season 10: to build up towards the Rashad Evans "Rampage" Jackson fight.
That bout had already taken a hit when Jackson decided to withdraw from the December date to film the new A-team movie in Vancouver but the possibility remained that Quinton and Rashad would meet in early 2010.
Now that "Rampage" has pulled a Brett Favre one of the main objectives of an entire season of TUF has been rendered dead on arrival.
Luckily for Zuffa they have a safety net in Kimbo Slice who will certainly help drive ratings now that the show is devoid of the marquee match-up between Evans and Jackson. Still, one is left with the feeling of indifference towards the season.
So is there even any reason to continue watching?

Yep
New talent, free fights, a couple TapouT sponorship placements and Dana explaining to us week after week what “Sudden Victory” means.
But, for me the show has never really been about watching the coaches bitch at each other and then having them fight. It has always been a nice bonus but sometimes it is actually quite distracting like Tito and Shamrock. I like the show because I get to see up and coming talent and get an inside look into their training, though that last point is not covered nearly enough. So, even with the fight off, I still think there is a value left in the show even if Kimbo wasn’t there.
i will still watch but....
it really pisses me off that we are going to have to watch 9 weeks of build up and animostity for a fight that might not happen or at the very least we will wait at least 6 months to watch….boo rampage!

Only a handful of the millions of people that watch will even know about this whole deal. Dana and Rampage have until the end of the show to work things out. Make no mistake, Rampage will fight again in the UFC, if for no other reason than showing all of his new movie fans that he’s not running from Rashad.
