Rashad Evans thinks he will fight Thiago Silva
Like any bad break up it's time to move on and that's exactly what Rashad Evans is doing now that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has retired.
Evans talked to MMA Fanhouse's Michael David Smith and stated that he would like Thiago Silva to be his next opponent.
"Thiago Silva is a good fighter, I'd like to fight him and I think he wants to fight me," Evans said. "When I saw him after he fought Keith Jardine, he kind of gave me a nasty look that I interpreted like he wanted to take me on, and I'd like that."
Thiago Silva (14-1) recently defeated Keith Jardine via knockout at UFC 102. Silva was coming off of a first round knockout loss to Lyoto Machida at UFC 94.
Rashad Evans (13-1-1) hasn't fought since UFC 98 where he lost his light heavyweight title to Lyoto Machida.
It would be interesting to see what the UFC would do with the winner of this potential bout as both fighters have been knocked out by Lyoto Machida. Machida is set to defend his belt at UFC 104 against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.

This would be a great fight, however I think Rashad would be quick enough to beat him in the standup and his wrestling good enough to neutralise his ground game.

I agree
I think what is far more interesting is what will the UFC do with the winner if Machida beats Shogun?
