Rampage out of UFC 107 and will appear in the remake of the A-Team

Think the Mr. T mohawk will help him pick up chicks?

It appears that the UFC's schedule for the final quarter of 2009 has officially imploded in an epic mushroom cloud of injuries and bizarre twists.

MMA Bay (you know how reliable they are) is claiming that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is off of UFC 107 in Memphis Tennessee. MMA Bay is also reporting that Rampage has indeed sign on to do the remake of the A-Team. That news was previously rumored but MTV debunked that report.

Rampage was suppose to meet his fellow TUF 10 coach and crazy stare down partner, Rashad Evans, on the December 7th card.

Earlier this week the UFC announced that B.J. Penn and Diego Sanchez will fight for the lightweight title on the Memphis fight card.

If the MMA Bay "report" is true then Steve Cofield of Cage Writer asks "why is the UFC going to Memphis if Rampage isn't on the card?"

Doesn't B.J. Penn have roots in the "Volunteer State?"

The Sun and Cage Writer says its true. Changed from Rumors to News. I small part of me just died.

[Update #2: Note by Zak Woods, 09/04/09 8:28 PM EDT ]

MMA Fanhouse confirms that Rampage will be apart of The A-Team remake,

Several news sites reported conflicting information on the casting, but UFC President Dana White last week confirmed to FanHouse that Rampage had indeed gotten the role.

[Update #3: Note by Zak Woods, 09/05/09 2:31 PM EDT ]

Now Rampage is in Vancouver to start filming. Thanks to reader Ozzz for the tip.

maybe this is why Dana pulled the plug on a network deal, he realised he doesn’t have the resources right now

Looks like the UFC will start adding “Will not Act in Films” clauses in their contracts

Zak,
If the sources are only MMABay, and the Sun then I still would not believe it until . . .
 - IMDB.com actually updates their site, note Cagewriter provides a link to the site
 - Variety, MTV Movies or some other credible source . . . not known for foolish news reports confirms the story
