Antwain Britt signs with Strikeforce.

This is big news!  Britt has the power and athleticism to pressure anyone in the division, including the big dogs!  Antwain Britt signed a multi-fight deal in which he promises to make a title run.

Antwain has been a very busy man of late.  Last weekend he finished second in an eight man tourney in Aruba where he won two very tough decisions, one over UFC vet Carmelo Marrero.  Britt fought in three MMA fights all on the same night!

The link tells the whole story, but here are a few excepts...

Earlier this afternoon I received a text from Britt himself, and the news is official.  The Juggernaut is bound for Strikeforce!  This is huge news from the Hampton Roads part of the state  The area is a breeding ground of young and talented fighters, and Britt is paving the way for them all.  Exact details about the contract weren’t discussed, but I did get the feeling that he is very happy with it and the organization.  He did say that it is a multi-fight deal and that a title run is in his near future!

Star-divide

Britt is an instant challenger in the division.  He has been doing nothing but destroying UFC vets of late and it will be interesting to see how fast he climbs the ladder.  Antwain will be joining the likes of  Kevin Randleman, Babalu Sobral, and other well known fighters and interesting fighters.  The current 205 pound champion is Gegard Mousasi who won impressively over Babalu in a recent title fight.

The link also talks about Britt opening his own gym in Hampton Roads, Va.

While talking to Britt about the new contract he also mentioned that he is in the process of opening a new gym.  The grand opening will be sometime this month!

This is great news for the local area.  There seem to be more and more "McDojos" popping up all over the place with promises that they will make you a cage fighter, don’t miss this opportunity its legit!  It is not everyday that a fighter on this level can be found in your very own backyard.

again the link for the entire piece is here

the mendes ko is impressive but in his previous fight he lost in less than a minute at a uwc show. so the jury is stil out of him.
