WEC 46 Bonuses

I_cfc_medium

The WEC handed out three $10,000 bonuses for WEC 46.

  • Will Campuzano and Coty Wheeler were both awarded   $10,000 for "Fight of the Night"
  • Urijah Faber was awarded $10,000 for "Submission of the Night"

Since no fights ended via knockout there was no "Knockout of the Night" bonus.

I have a problem with this. Even if there is no knockout, WEC needs to give out two submission of the night awards or two fight of the night awards of one category is missing. The fighters in the WEC consistently put on the best fights, imo, and more of them need to be rewarded.

you’d think they would

but then again the “Fight Night” bonus are suppose to be an incentive for fighters to finish fights and push the action. If you give out a “Knockout” bonus even though there wasn’t a knockout one could argue that the incentive loses value.

For the record I agree with you
