Jose Aldo will defend his title against Urijah Faber

In the lead up to WEC 46 most observers assumed that the winner of Faber vs. Assuncao would fight Jose Aldo for the WEC featherweight title.
After Urijah submitted Raphael it didn't take long for the long predicted title fight to materialize. WEC officials had Aldo face-off with Faber inside the cage all but assuring a future fight between Faber and Aldo.
In the post-fight press conference WEC GM, Reed Harris, told the media that the fight would happen in the first half of 2010. Harris even hinted about the possibility of the fight being held on pay-per view or in Faber's hometown of Sacramento.
If the WEC ends up holding a pay-per view event for Faber vs. Aldo you can guarantee it will be Sacramento as Faber's hometown drawing power will insulate the risk of translating the product from Versus to PPV.

i dont know about this. i love the fight and all but im not so sure they should be going to ppv. maybe at a discounted rate of $25.99 or something they will get a respectable buyrate but if they try and get 34.95 or 39.95 they are looking for failure.
