Henderson vs. Cerrone II?

After Ben Henderson defeated Jamie Varner to unify the WEC lightweight titles eyes immediately turned to a possible rematch with Donald Cerrone.

Henderson defeated Cerrone to win the interim lightweight title in a controversial decision in October of last year.

Versus and the WEC teased of a possible rematch during the post-fight interview with Henderson and WEC GM, Reed Harris, mentioned the possibility of a fight.

"There's a number of elements that we look at as far as what we put together, but I think that makes sense to put that fight together," Harris said. "I think we'll work toward that, but I can certainly tell you that it hasn't been made yet."

The first time Henderson and Cerrone fought the bout was widely considered to be the best fight of 2009. It would be extremely surprising for the WEC not to capitalize on such a celebrated battle with a rematch.
