Teddy Atlas Comments on Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Debacle

In today's age of HGH and steroids for any athlete to say no to Olympic Style drug testing is a HUGE red flag.

That is exactly what happened in the Mayweather-Pacquiao negotiations. Luckily for us we have Teddy Atlas to pour gasoline on the fire (begin at the 2:00 mark with transcript below).

Look, my thing that I can add to this--again, from sources that told me they said that people in the Pacquiao camp sent a couple of emails to the Mayweahter camp, a few of weeks ago--about two or three weeks ago. And the first email was, 'what would the penalty be if our guy tested positive?' The second email was, 'if he did test positive could we keep this a secret for the benefit of boxing?' Now again i don't know other than my source whoI trust told me that he saw those emails. Now I also know that Tim Smith the columnist from teh Dail News reported on teh same thing i just said.

Of course there is plenty of blame to go around for boxing's super-mega-humongous-prodigious-colossal battle royale falling apart in such spectacular fashion. (Side note: Weird that this disaster could only trumped by NBC's late night stupidity.) Some think Floyd is dodging Pacquiao and values that '0' in his loss column more than money. Others think (29:48 mark) Pacquiao is hiding something, why else say no to a simple blood test if you are going to make over $50 million.

As an MMA fan who was never into the day-to-day news of boxing other than historical appreciation I was sincerely excited for this fight and the parties involved ripped my heart and showed it to me still beating Temple of Doom style.

Which is why I prefer the UFC model to the boxing model…

They are def. some cons to the UFC having major control instead of the fighter but it doesnt allow for Fedor/Zulu or Gegard/Goodridge either

Pac/Mayweather HAS to happen, too much money for it not too. Hopefully sooner than later

The real story

Look, my thing that I can add to this—again, from sources that told me they said that Teddy Atlas’ father sent a couple of emails to their parish priest, a few of weeks ago—about two or three weeks ago. And the first email was, ‘Father, please forgive my little Teddy as he was in a gay club last night’. The second email was, ‘Father, please continue to forgive Teddy boy since his gay-clubbing has now turned into an addiction’. Now, again I don’t know other than my source, who I trust, told me that he saw those emails. Now I also know that Tim Smith, the bartender at the gay club, reported on the same thing I just said.

That’s the proof right there. Therefore, Teddy Atlas is Gay!

as a huge boxing fan my whole life and semi historian, i can say that teddy atlas the broadcast journalist is utterly ridiculous. he’s very well known for making up fairytales. hes an extremely overrated trainer as well but thats another story.

anywho, as for pacmans people calling golden boy reps asking what the consequences of saying no to the tests were/are/is completely reasonable. they have every legal right and responsibility to ask for him what the consequences are.

asking for the tests in the first place was an epically failed power play by golden boy (who by chance have an admitted steroid user in shane mosely fighting and promoting for them) and floyd. its an unprecedented request that mannys people had no reason to even entertain let alone negotiate any time table or deadline for.

i for one never thought it would happen given floyds history of ducking fights and never got my hopes up because they fight was never finalized.

kinda like how i never got my hopes up for fedor and the ufc. i kinda sorta knew it wasn’t going to happen.

unfortunately its probably going to be too late for fedor as he seems to be slowing down but theres hope floyds testicles might drop this year so its still a good chance it can happen later in the year.

Mayweather Camp Propaganda?

When I heard this the first thing that popped into my head is, I wonder who in the Mayweather camp leaked this?

I don’t even care about the fight not happening, as a MMA blogger and a one time fan of Boxing this is just pathetic that no one can make this fight finally happen.

Proof

Only thing that i can say about this is, where’s the proof? Golden Boy and PBF keeps on saying that there’s an email trail regarding all the talks but my questions is where is the email? Are they stupid enough to delete the email when it says stuff like
“‘what would the penalty be if our guy tested positive?’ The second email was, ’if he did test positive could we keep this a secret for the benefit of boxing?” hmmm … don’t u think this is a bit confusing. If i were golden boy or PBF i will let the people know about the email and print it out to media so everyone call see if team pacquiao are liars. We heard about the email theards and until now we are still waiting for proof. Let’s see how far golden boy and PBF will let the fans denied the right to know the truth regarding the emails the suppose to be sent and received.
Teddy Atlas and Tim Smith – lets see the proof of your allegations, i hope you did not buy to this speculations before you made your decision because i know you people are not the morons fans believed you are and provide us with proofs.
