Nate Diaz wasn't blowing smoke, will fight at Welterweight at UFC 111
After Nate Diaz lost a close decision to Gray Maynard at UFC Fight Night 20, Diaz stated that he would move up from 155 pounds to 170.
Most people thought this was simply Nate blowing smoke (haha, get it?) after a disappointing loss. After all, could a tall lanky lightweight, who has trouble with wrestlers, do well in a division where he is the smaller fighter and there are even more wrestlers?
It appears that the UFC matchmaker, Joe Silva, likes the idea of Diaz at welterweight as MMA Junkie is reporting that the Diaz will fight Rory Markham at UFC 111.
Who knew that Zuffa listens to the Diaz brothers...
