Strikeforce Moves Forward on 135 and 145lbs. Female Tournaments
Scott Coker talked to Loretta Hunt of Sherdog about Strikeforce's intention to go forward with two tournaments for the 135lbs. and 145lbs. female divisions. Each bracket will contain eight fighters with the winners fighting the champions of their respective divisions.
Currently Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos is champion of the 145lbs. division and she will fight Marloes Coenen at Strikeforce: Miami. But the 135lbs. division is without a champion.
Coker told Sherdog that Strikeforce is planning on holding a title fight between Sarah Kaufman (10-0) and Takayo Hashi (12-1) to fill the vacant title. The fight would occur either in February or March.
WKR loves this idea as long as Kim Couture isn't in the upcoming tournament....actually, check that, WKR wouldn't mind watching Kim get destroyed fight again.
