Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Bobby Lashley walks through Wes Sims

Bobby Lashley easily dispatched Wes Sims in his Strikeforce debut.

Lashley quickly secured a takedown and began throwing short punches within Sims' guard. Wes did attempt an armbar but Bobby easily avoided it and continued to throw punches. The referee told Lashley to avoid holding Sims' neck as he threw the punches. Wes rolled to his back and took two more punches before the referee stopped the bout

All told the fight lasted just over two minutes. While the stoppage was premature the fight was lopsided from the start as Wes Sims took the fight with Lashley on a week's notice (his gut showed it).

When asked to comment on his status within the sport, Lashley responded by saying, "I am still building baby."
