Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort in Abu Dhabi? (Update)

On a day where B.J. Penn said he would defend his title in April at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi there is a new report from Tatame stating that Anderson Silva will fight Vitor Belfort at the same event.

The fight between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort is in works to take place at UFC 112, on April 10, at Abu Dhabi. Carlos Santos, leader of Emirates Team, revealed to TATAME.com that both fighters called him to train at his training center in Abu Dhabi in the days before the fight.

If Silva vs. Belfort and B.J. Penn were to be on UFC 112 would the UFC feature it as a free event or would it be a pay-per view event? The inclusion of two title fights with champions who want to be apart of large drawing events (in other words, they want larger PPV bonuses) would lead one to conclude that such a card, if it indeed exists, would be a pay-per view product.

That would make two international fight cards featured on pay-per view in the first four months of 2010.

Matt Hughes and Renzo Gracie will also fight on UFC 112.

Wasn’t Renzo the BJJ trainer for one of them sultans over there? Hopefully if Hughes wins they don’t chop his hands off or something. Ah who’m I kidding, I hope they do =P

Also, I like your style Zak, you’ve got an eye for the ladies.

I mean they love Jiu-Jitsu so it would make sense to have BJ there
