Bellator has been releasing a steady stream of fighter signings to partake in a second batch of tournaments for Season 2, which will be broadcast on FSN this spring. But now Bellator is reaching back to Season 1 to try and replicate the biggest upset, and the most memorable moment, of their inaugural tournament.

That's right, Toby Imada and Jorge Masvidal will meet for the second time in round one of the new lightweight tournament on April 8th.

The last time these two men fought Imada scored an improbable come from behind victory with an inverted reverse triangle choke in the third round (see the video above). Many observers had Masvidal penciled in to the finals where he would most likely face Eddie Alvarez. But Imada spoiled that marquee final bout. 

Kudos to Bellator for having these two fight again. Masvidal vs. Imada II will certainly generate some buzz throughout the MMA community as fans will hope to see lighting caught in a bottle for the second time. It should be stated though that prior to Imada securing the submission Masvidal was easily winning and he will certainly be looking for revenge.
