Matt Brown vs. Ricardo Almeida at UFC 111
Franklin McNeil reports that Matt Brown will fight Ricardo Almeida at UFC 111.
Ricardo Almeida (11-3) last fought at UFC 101 and even though he defeated Kendall Grove, Almeida decided to drop from middleweight to welterweight. Ricardo was slated to make his debut at 170 pounds against Jon Fitch at UFC 106. However, Almeida was forced to withdraw from the bout due to a knee injury.
Matt Brown (11-7), an Ohio native and TUF 7 alum, is currently riding a three fight win streak and is 4-1 in the UFC. Brown last fought at UFC 105 where he defeated TUF season nine winner, James Wilks.

big matt brown fan and this talks more to the top of the card than his fight, but talk about a drop off. one of the fights seems a little out of place
