UFC 124 Results: Georges St. Pierre Schools Josh Koscheck in Kick Boxing, Wins Unanimous Decision
In the main event of UFC 124, Georges St. Pierre utilized one of the most effective, if not the most effective jabs we've seen in MMA against Josh Koscheck, leaving Kos's face a bloody, brutalized mess, and his right eye swollen shut. GSP had a hard time getting Kos to the mat, but secured a few takedowns that saw Kos get to his feet rather quickly.
The crowd was electric from beginning to end, as was the fight itself, GSP's strikes were pinpoint accurate, consistently landing jabs and double jabs, as well as a solid inside leg kick. Once Koscheck's eye was completely swollen, GSP looked to land left hooks, and the occasional headkick, but couldn't land anything hard enough to score a finish.
I feel that GSP is the top fighter on the planet after tonight...if Jake Shields is truly on the horizon for GSP, I feel sorry for Shields. This was an impressive victory for GSP, and he got to showcase his well rounded game tonight against a tough challenger in Josh Koscheck.

It was just a clinic and not one second of the fight was boring. I know that GSP had said that he would not be happy if he didn’t stop Kos, but honestly, the only time I found myself cheering for a KO was in the last minute of the fight, simply because that would have been the only way to make his performance any more outstanding at that point.
