There is a good and bad to every story. I always like to start with the good. My hope is that the good news will still be lingering in your head as I proceed to give you the bad.
The beautiful Salma Hayek is being eyed by Sony (they aren't the only ones eyeing her) to co-star in their untitled MMA fighting movie. Salma currently has two films in the works. The first being The Driver followed by her voicing the character Kitty in Puss in Boots.
The bad news is that Kevin James would be playing the MMA fighter. To see that is a little bit of a stretch is an understatement, but this could be a comedic gold mine....but probably not. This is all we know about the film so far: "It's about a physics teacher whose school is facing cutbacks. In order to save the music teacher's job, James moonlights as an MMA fighter."
Kevin James? Who is he playing? Roy Nelson?

Now, with that out of the way, I’ll take a Kevin James comedy MMA movie over the other sad attempts we’ve seen at MMA in film. James is a long time fan and I don’t doubt that they can do the sport justice, and get a few chuckle out of us at the same time.
Seriously her body is near perfection in that dance scene…wait what? Oh right, MMA movie…Kevin James…good shit.

No thanks. He’s like mad tv to me… I’m a SNL person. I just don’t think he’s that funny. The mall cop movie looked pathetic compared to observe and report, and other than that I’m just plain not a fan. Pass.

Observe and Report wasn't anything like Mall Cop it's a poor comparison.
And some times King of Queens is funny. There is one episode where Hendo, Rampage, Couture and Pulver all kick Kevin James ass and that’s pretty funny.

Yeah, Kevin James is ok but he’s more like Mad TV . . . good analogy. I don’t think he can carry a film.

A wonderful excuse, indeed. Will this be an MMA movie that MMA fans can stomach, unlike the others we have seen thus far? We’ll see.

I hate that movie with a passion.
Randy’s acting was cringe worthy, and the red/black ball gimmick was dumb.
Plus the only “MMA” fight the dude has is a backstage brawl. After he chokes the guy out behind the blechers everyone stares at him (including the security cops) and the old man gives him the Red belt………………………….WTF?
