UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture Retires?

Picture_1_medium_medium

It certainly looks this way, and doesn't come as a surprise with his recent comments about not wanting to make a run at a title, and increased activity in Hollywood.  Randy Couture is set to work on a Bruce Willis film, and jump into the Expendables 2 next year...for an aging former champion, his horizons are bright, and far beyond the octagon.  Let's get Randy on a mic as the third man in the booth for some UFC shows again, his analysis is a pleasure, and would be a welcome addition to the broadcast.

It's been a hell of a career for Randy, it's nice to see a legend go out on a high note.

If he's done,

count me in for the Randy as the 3rd man bandwagon.

His attorney has indicated that it was not an official announcement (but I suppose you can say that it might as well be). Unless an amazing offer comes across his plate, I see no reason why Couture would be interested in fighting again.

Official retirement probably has contract implications so it might just be the “not taking any more fights” kind of retirement.

I second the motion. Hopefully the UFC will provide a bit more fanfare though. Tweeting about your retirement is more like a fizzle. He deserves fireworks.

He's not done.

He said he wants Shogun or Machida, if not then he retires.
He’s trying to create leverage.
I say give him Machida.
