Where in the world did "Sexyama" go?
Seven months ago the Japanese middleweight narrowly won his UFC debut against Alan Belcher at UFC 100. But since that fight the highly touted judoka has dropped off the MMA map.
According to Fighter's Only Akiyama will make his return against the winner of the Wanderlei Silva-Michael Bisping fight, which takes place at UFC 110.
Akiyama was originally schedule to fight Wanderlei at UFC 110 but the UFC decided to put Bisping in that fight instead (it was rumored that the UFC wanted Silva to fight Bisping at UFC 105 in the United Kingdom).
