No UFC 110 Prelims on Spike, will return at UFC 111

Spike will not air the preliminary fights from UFC 110 this Saturday.

Michael David Smith describes why this is a bit confusing:

Still, it's disappointing because there are two fights on the UFC 110 undercard -- Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski and C.B. Dollaway vs. Goran Reljic -- that seem tailor made for Spike TV. We'll just have to hope those make the pay-per-view broadcast.

Bonnar's storyline may be one of the most interesting as the TUF season one runner-up is on a two fight losing streak and some have speculated that a loss here could translate into a pink slip.

Spike is contracted to air 10 preliminary fights in 2010.  The UFC averages 12-14 pay-per view events a year.

MMA Junkie reports that Spike will air two preliminary fights for UFC 111. While no word as to which fights will be used WKR believes it will be one of these three.

- Nate Diaz vs. Rory Markham
- Ricardo Almeida vs. Matt Brown
- Fabricio Camoes vs. Kurt Pellegrino
